Join us in welcoming Donna Lee, who will be leading this introduction to American Sign Language and Deaf culture.

ABOUT DONNA LEE:

Donna was born and raised in New York. She is married and a proud Mom of 5-year old, twin boys. Born with a unilateral hearing loss, she first became interested in learning sign language when a friend suggested taking classes for her own communication needs. In 2002, after receiving a BAHA (bone-anchored hearing aid) and working with the Deaf community, she completed the IEP (Interpreter Education Program) at LaGuardia Community College. In 2004, Donna obtained national certification in American Sign Language Interpreting. She currently works as a staff interpreter at Mt. Sinai – Beth Israel Medical Center.
