February 18 from 6pm to 8pm: Startup Compensation

Kyle Riggle, a partner of Joynture, and Christopher Michelsen, of UBS, will talk about structuring startup compensation to attract the best talent and investors. This will start with knowing the pros & cons of the various entity structures (sole-prop, LLC, S&C corps, etc.) and how it ties into equity as compensation. They will also discuss 401k options, insurance, paid-time off and much more!


Kyle Riggle is the VP of Business Development for EWS and a partner in Joynture, Orth Cleaners, The Shoe Surgeon, EDMX and a few other companies. He loves exploring the opportunity at the crossroads of old industry and new technology. Originally from Northern California, Kyle made his way to NYC to attend college at Columbia University. He now splits time between NYC and Philadelphia.



Christopher is a Financial Advisor, with UBS Wealth Management. He has worked with domestic and international clients through the past two recessions and six equity market corrections. He is based in UBS New York office, working with a team of professionals. Christopher and his team develop customized wealth management solutions for entrepreneurs, real estate professionals, and business owners. Christopher provides access to a variety of alternative financing and debt structuring for multiple asset classes. His team employs equity, fixed income, and alternative investment strategies for their clients. Originally from New York, Christopher graduated from New York University with degrees in Business and Economics. He joined UBS in 1999 and moved to UBS Wealth Management after over a decade at UBS Investment Bank. Christopher is a member of the Board of Directors at the International Real Estate Federation. Christopher and his wife, Pia, live in New York City.
