International Tea Day

December 15, 2015

For International Tea Day we decided to look into the history of tea. We found similar stories on it’s origin. UK Tea put it this way, “The story of tea begins in China. According to legend, in 2737 BC, the Chinese emperor Shen Nung was sitting beneath a tree while his servant boiled drinking water, when some leaves from the tree blew into the water. Shen Nung, a renowned herbalist, decided to try the infusion that his servant had accidentally created. The tree was a Camellia sinensis, and the resulting drink was what we now call tea.”

For those coffee lovers, you can’t find such a cute story as there is for tea, so switch your caffeine intake to tea today. There are so many flavors, you’re bound to fall in love with one. Even here at our coworking space, we have not only regular black tea but we also have English breakfast tea, green tea, peppermint tea, candy cane flavored tea, and ginger peach tea. The options are really endless with tea. And you can even try putting a tea bag in your coffee if you can’t give that up.
