The Flower Show

March 9, 2016

We love attending events in our community so we stopped by the Philadelphia Flower Show this past weekend to check out what Philly has to offer. Let’s just say that we are more excited than ever about opening up in PA!

The Flower Show dates back to 1829 and supports the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society’s programs which include maintaining community gardens that help feed families in need. Besides the great cause, the theme of Explore America: 100 Years of the National Park Service brought happiness to all of our senses. As soon as you walk in the venue, the smell of flowers and nature surround you and there are countless colors of flowers in all the different displays. There are even sounds of nature and flowing water as you travel through the exhibits that represent many of the National Parks.

Another $3 gives you access to a butterfly experience. You are given a cotton swab with nectar on one end to attract the butterflies. As soon as you enter, you’ll feel like a child catching butterflies in your backyard.DSC_0394 DSC_0403 DSC_0406

If you haven’t made it there yet, you should take some time in the evening this week or this upcoming weekend to visit. There is even a FREE wine & spirits tasting for you!
