February 11, 2015

Gotham 360 takes a holistic approach to energy management. For more than a decade, the firm has used proven methodologies, industry expertise and deep understanding of the latest technologies to help hundreds of organizations make better decisions on both the supply and demand sides of the energy continuum — while significantly reducing energy consumption and costs.

Jennifer KJennifer Kearney is the executive partner of Gotham 360. She co-founded the firm after she parlayed her position as director of energy programs for New York Presbyterian Hospital into a consultancy, offering energy program development and deployment to institutional energy consumers such as hospitals, universities, colleges, and cultural centers.

Zach SussmanZach Sussman is one of the Gotham 360 staff members based at Joynture. With close to five years’ experience in energy management and sustainability, healthcare and higher education, Zach is the go-to guy for creating and executing sustainability master plans. Previously, as the energy management coordinator at the NYU Langone Medical Center, Zach helped shape the sustainability program at one of the nation’s top hospitals.

Zach’s on-site experience at NYU Langone during Hurricane Sandy gives Gotham 360 an insightful understanding of the realties that healthcare providers face during a crisis.

But, Zach’s experience is not limited to sustainability. He also manages Gotham’s greenhouse gas reporting and compliance with Local Law 84. “We have the opportunity to work with many different clients from a wide variety of industries — and really get to make an impact in their greenhouse gas emissions,” said Zach. “And, we get to play a small part in making New York City a greener place.”

Zach received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Richmond. He is currently a candidate for his Master’s of Science Degree in Environmental Policy and Sustainability Management at The New School University.

Shancee DavisShanece Davis is an energy and sustainability programs specialist at Gotham 360 who also works at Joynture. She is a recent graduate of Columbia University where she studied Environmental Science and majored in Women’s Studies. At Gotham 360, Shanece oversees the greenhouse gas portfolios of some of New York City’s largest energy consumers.

Her background and interest in Women’s Studies has been a unique asset to Gotham 360 as a Woman Owned Small Business. Shanece has been instrumental in the development of a mentoring program which focuses on bringing opportunity in the Energy and Engineering fields to young women and creating partnerships with other woman-focused industry associations. Shanece also represents the firm in our interactions with various State and Federal agencies.

Zach and Shanece are both LEED Green Associates through the US Green Building Council and EMITs (Energy Managers In Training) by the Association of Energy Engineers.

Lindsay O’Neill-Caffrey is an energy and sustainability analyst at Gotham 360. A recent graduate of Binghamton University, she earned her Bachelor’s Degrees in Environmental Studies and Political Science. She also studied at Murdoch University in Western Australia and at the Université de Nice in France. Combining her two undergraduate degrees, Lindsay worked directly with members of the Binghamton City Council to enact regulations for natural gas in New York. She is a degree candidate for a Master’s of Science in Environmental Policy and Sustainability Management at The New School University.

Other Gotham 360 staff members at Joynture include Hafsa Sabri and Jasmine Bager.

Hafsa is a first-year student at Barnard College with a passion for science, technology and math. She is an intern at Gotham 360 where she assists in managing and analyzing energy consumption data in order to make recommendations for potential energy efficiency projects that would help reduce greenhouse gases. She also has experience in programming (self-taught and as a member of Girls Who Code).

Jasmine, Gotham 360’s social media editor, has a decade of experience in international journalism. Before moving to the Big Apple two years ago, she worked in a sustainable energy think tank in her native Saudi Arabia, where she handled editorial content and public relations. She is one of the very first Saudi females to ever graduate from the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism in the school’s 102-year history.

Zach said he and the Gotham 360 team enjoy calling Joynture home. “Everyone is very friendly and open. And, the energy is very good,” he said. “That energy really makes me want to get to work.

“And, the coffee and beer don’t hurt either.”
