We were wondering when the unseasonably warm weather would come to an end and finally we can say, “Winter has finally arrived!”
With a snowfall of over two feet this Saturday, most New Yorkers stayed in for the storm. By Sunday, many couldn’t wait to get out and play in the fields of white. We don’t think the snow will be melting anytime soon so here’s some ideas of what to do this weekend in the snow: Grab a sled and ride down one of the many hills in Central Park! Warning: your cheeks may hurt from smiling so much and from the cold wind blowing in your face! You may also want to bring a friend or two so if your sled gets busted, you can continue the fun! Maybe you can build an igloo or a fort to protect yourself during a snowball fight. (Queue up the Frozen soundtrack) Do you wanna build a snowman? Cross country skiing is also very popular in the park. Follow in another’s tracks or create your own path! Whatever you decide, enjoy the snow! It’s lovely!
